We at Enjoy Whistler know the best kid friendly things to do and kid-friendly places to stay because we’ve been taking our own kids here for years; and visiting when we ourselves were children.

Our Favourite Whistler Kids Hotels

Legends Whistlertakes the top spot for family hotels in Whistler with its wonderful selection of amenities and the best ski-in/ski-out in the area. Legends is located in Creekside Village, just adjacent to the busy Whistler Village, so you can expect more peace and a laid-back approach to the Coastal Mountains. Just steps away from the lobby doors is the Creekside Gondola, where you’ll find much shorter lines and direct access to Whistler Mountain. From there you can ski down to the Whistler Village or take the Peak 2 Peak gondola across to Blackcomb. Legends also offers convenient access to the ski school and Whistler kids programs so your children can be sure to have fun as they learn. And no need to bring skis, there’s a rental shop here as well. In addition to the upscale accommodations (with some of the nicest rooms in Whistler), Legends offers various plays areas throughout the hotel for kids of all ages. There is a children’s games room, a media room with a big screen TV, and an alpine club lounge. You’ll also find a fitness centre, an awesome outdoor heated pool, two hot tubs (one family-specific), and a BBQ area to enjoy. All guests rooms at Legends are spacious and comfortable, and each one includes a fully equipped kitchen to make your own meals, a dining area to eat at, a living area to lay back in, ensuite washer/dryer, and a private balcony with great views of the mountains. With all these conveniences of home available for your stay, along with the excellent destination and all the amenities for kids of all ages, bringing your family to Legends Whistler is the perfect choice this spring break.

The name Fairmont is synonymous is high quality and outstanding service and at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler the experience is focused equally on children. This kid friendly resort is located in Upper Village, in close proximity to everything a family needs for an excellent spring break vacation. The Chateau is located right next to the kids ski school so they can literally walk outside the lobby and meet up with their fun lesson. It’s also directly beside the magic carpet bunny hill run as well as the Magic Chair, perfect for beginner kids and adults. The Chateau amenities go a long way in making this property so great at catering to families. The kids will love playing in the heated indoor/outdoor pool, one of the biggest in Whistler.  There are kid friendly restaurants on site with fun meals designed just for the little ones, where kids under five eat free and kids to twelve can have 50% off meals at the Wildflower and the Chalet. There’s also a kids fitness program, RU Ready, for guests aged 7-17, designed to improve athletic skills for baseball, football, basketball, skateboarding, snowboarding, and more. The whole property, like Whistler proper, is a spectacular playground for all ages. In addition to the superb skiing at North America’s favourite resort, close by you’ll find the Tube Park, ziplining, cross-country skiing, wildlife tours, and even more activities to enjoy. Oh, and the rooms are comfortably elegant with that classic Fairmont style that helps make your family holiday one to remember for a lifetime.

The Crystal Lodge is the only true boutique hotel in Whistler and its location and family-friendly amenities make this spot an excellent choice for your family vacation this spring. It’s an excellent value, with outstanding lodgings at a very reasonable rate. We recommend the loft suites for families, as they’re a fun and memorable space with high ceilings in 800 square feet, fireplaces and balconies overlooking the Village Stroll in some units, and a kitchenette to whip up your own meals. Or if you want to eat out, The Old Spaghetti Factory downstairs is a great place for the family. And there’s a Starbucks in the building too, for mom and dad on those early mornings. The chairlifts are just a short walk down the Village Stroll. The kids and the parents will love the heated swimming pool and hot tub, where you can all soak after a great day of activities this Spring Break in Whistler.
