Whistler Village North
Whistler village is the hub of activity at the base of Whistler Mountain. Both the Whistler Village Gondola and Blackcomb Excalibur Gondola are within walking distance of village accommodations. The village is a pedestrian paradise with shops, restaurants and many other amenities close together and a pedestrian only area, so there is no need for a car when staying in the village. Whistler Village isn’t just a tourist town, its a thriving community with a municipal hall, fire and police station, conference centre, medical clinic, museum, library, art galleries, spas, over 200 shops and over 90 restaurants for excellent apres and nightlife. Whistler Village North
Village North is located right beside the main Whistler Village, separated only by a road. It is within easy walking distance of the village as well as both the Whistler and Blackcomb Gondolas. Village North is centered around the Whistler Marketplace which offers a supermarket, video store and other amenities, making it a very convenient location. Village North is also a quieter, more secluded area, being a little further removed from the bars, nightlife and general hustle and bustle of the Whistler Village.
The Upper Village is situated at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, serviced by the Wizard and Magic Chair lifts and also near the Chateau Whistler Golf Club. It is also within walking distance of Whistler Village for convenient access to all village amenities and lifts. The Upper Village is surrounded by towering pines, creating an idyllic sense of alpine seclusion where visitors can be on the slopes or the greens in no time.
For those looking for a mellower Whistler experience, Creekside is an excellent alternative to the main Village with its own gondola, restaurants and shops. Located about 10 minutes drive south of the main Village, Creekside offers ski-in-ski-out accommodation and plenty of high-quality lodging options from private homes to five-star hotels.
Whistler Valley – Nicklaus North, Blueberry Hill & Alpine Meadows
Accommodations in Whistler Valley are just a short drive from Whistler’s main villages and include the areas of Nicklaus North, Blueberry Hill and Alpine Meadows.
Blueberry Hill is a prestigous neighbourhood overlooking the Whistler Golf Club and offering breathtaking panoramic views of Whistler. Located near Creekside, it is only a five minute walk to Creekside’s Town Centre and Gondola, which gives visitors convenient access to shops, restaurants, and of course the slopes.
Nicklaus North is located about a five minute drive north of the main village. Lodging in this neighbourhood sits between the Nicklaus North Golf Course and Green Lake, boasting serene alpine and lake vistas. Access to Whistler’s mountain lifts requires a five minute drive, however cross-country skiing and over 15 miles of trails are right at the doorstep of Nicklaus North. And of course the golf course with its restaurant The Den are easily accessible.
The area of Alpine Meadows is located just above the Nicklaus North Golf Course, a five minute drive from the main Village. This tranquil neighbourhood offers easy access to the Valley Trail, parks, Green Lake, and the golf course. There’s a small market as well as a sports complex with a pool and ice rink.
